What is a Cascade Orchid, and Why is it Also Called a Waterfall Orchid?
Short answer
Cascade means "waterfall" or "cascade" in English. This series is a Phalaenopsis variety where the flower stalks are directed downwards during cultivation, curving and drooping. Because the flowers are arranged like a cascade along the stalk, it is known as the waterfall orchid in Turkish; it is not a separate orchid species.

Which venue and gift is a suitable Waterfall Orchid?
Short answer
Waterfall orchids are ideal for places where branches can hang down, such as a tall console, entryway cabinet, bookshelf, or reception counter. They are preferred for occasions where an unusual look is desired, such as new homes, openings, promotions, and special occasion gifts; 10-branch models create a standalone decoration in large rooms.

How to Protect Cascade's Drooping Branches?
- Do not rotate the pot: Buds tend to grow towards the light; frequent rotating of the pot can lead to curling of the branches and bud drop.
- Do not remove the support wires: The wires or rods supporting the hanging form prevent the branch from breaking.
- Avoid bumping into branches: Drooping branches are easily damaged in pathways; choose a corner with less traffic.
- Follow standard care: Bright but indirect light, watering approximately every 7–10 days when the roots dry out, and avoiding leaving water at the bottom are sufficient.
