What is a hot air balloon, and how long does it stay in the air?
Short answer
A helium balloon is a balloon that floats in the air because it is inflated with helium gas. Foil balloons hold helium much longer than latex balloons; depending on ambient conditions, they can usually stay airborne for several days to over a week. Latex balloons, on the other hand, usually deflate within a day.
- Temperature: In cold weather, helium contracts, and the balloon may temporarily sag; it usually recovers once it returns to room temperature.
- Sun and heat: Direct sunlight and heating can cause the balloon to expand excessively; a cool corner is ideal.
- Sharp surfaces: Foil balloons are susceptible to punctures; keep them away from ceiling lights and sharp decorations.
- Outdoors: Do not release the balloon outdoors; it could become entangled in power lines and leave as environmental waste.
- Delivery method: You can inquire on the product page or via WhatsApp (0541 211 84 34) whether the balloons will be delivered inflated with helium or deflated.
How to send a balloon bouquet along with flowers?
Balloons are often a complement to a floral gift: flowers convey a message, balloons create a celebratory atmosphere. The most practical way is to add balloons to your floral order going to the same address; the items ordered for the same address and date are delivered together in a single order.
For birthdays, a colorful bouquet and Happy Birthday star balloons are the most popular combination; flower options can be found on the birthday flowers page. For Valentine's Day and anniversaries, red roses and sets of 7 or 20 red hearts create a strong romantic effect; romantic bouquets and boxes can be found on the flowers for your loved one page. For options that combine flowers with chocolates or plush toys, you can check the floral gift box and plush teddy bear pages.
